On Terraforming...
We believe that people shape the earth. When people integrate their lives they are making a commitment to face challenges and solve problems together, whatever the world has in store. And those are the kinds of people who alter our future.
"Terra" means earth. To form is to "bring together parts or combine to create (something)." We know that the couples we work with are shaping our world with love, and we are passionate about creating films that will transport you back to the magic and drama of your wedding day ten years from now.
How We Work...
We go with the flow, and know that the best moments happen naturally. Generally we simply film what is happening in the moment.
Most importantly we get the footage we think each couple will treasure the most. That is one of the reasons we love meeting with clients and getting to know them, getting a feel for who they are and what their unique partnership is like.
We don't use any large rigs or stabilization equipment. It's hard to document something if you get in the way. Our films have a documentary style just for that purpose. It's important for us to capture your day without taking over.
For us, it's to have the moments between the still photographs. Ten years down the road you may not want to look through hundreds of photos from that day-but you may crack open a bottle of wine and watch a short film that captured all of your favorite moments. It's for grandparents, relatives, or friends who weren't able to be there. It's for children that may become part of your family later on in life. Still images are glorious and necessary, but they can't see you breath, or the way your eyes met, or how the wind was blowing gently that day. Wedding films have a unique opportunity to capture those moments, and we are passionate about documenting them.
FAQ about Terraform
*We serve couples regardless of race, religion, or gender identity. We prioritize love.
*We love to meet over the phone or Zoom before you book! This way we can make sure we are a good fit.
*We do not use any large rigs or stabilizers, other than our tripod for the ceremony and monopods.
*We shoot on 2 Canon 5D Mark IVs, and a Canon C-100 cinema grade camera. We also have various lenses in our camera bag, as well as sound and back up sound!
*Safety is our number one priority. We are happy to adhere to any COVID policies set for your event, and we will be masked throughout the day.
*We will rebook any wedding rescheduled because of COVID-19 for free, dependent upon availability and additional travel costs.
*A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to book
*The basic package price includes 2 myself as the lead videographer and my assistant, Molly, for 8 hrs of filming.
*Wedding Highlight Films are delivered within 6-8 weeks
*We have a right to work in a safe environment. We will not tolerate inappropriate jokes or behavior. We have the right to walk out of unsafe environments.
